2008 gives its first steps and the Programme of Socio Environmental Improvement of COOPETRABASUR is already benefiting members of the cooperative, their families and the community in general.

As in past years, PROMESA collaborates with the donation of school items for children of the COOPETRABASUR and COOPESERSUR workers; that is how the economy of the families from the communities of Caimito, Caucho and Tamarindo in the South Zone of Costa Rica and from the property ALGARVA at the Caribbean Zone of the country is benefited.

Also, concerned about the proper nutrition of the kids, the donation of a microwave and a refrigerator was taken place to benefit directly children who assist to the kindergarden located in Caimito Property.

Medical Offices

The medical offices, in the South Zone as well as in the one located at The Caribbean, also received improvements in their infrastructure thanks to PROMESA.

With the resources of the programme it was improved the access to these places, which count from now on with ramps to facilitate the entrance of people with some physical disability who also enjoyed of modifications in the sanitary toilets. 

These initiatives are complemented with the purchase of medicines to maintain the proper supply of the offices. .
